Control Box Function
. Leakage protection (restart recover).
. Over voltage, under-voltage protection (self-checking recover).
. Lightning protection.
. Over current protection.
. Overheat protection.
Troubleshooting
CP Voltage Abnormal |
1. Unplug the power plug from the socket on the wall.
2. Unplug the charging plug from the vehicle.
3. Plug them again and check whether the problem still occurs or not.
4. If the problem still occurs, please contact the customer service for help.
Under-Voltage Protection/Over-Voltage Protection |
The voltage is not stable, which triggers low/high voltage protection of the product. Please wait for a while until it works normally.
Ground Fault |
There is no ground wire in your place. Please long press the delay button for 3s to switch to No Grounding mode.
Over Current Protection |
The current is not stable, which triggers high current protection of the product. Please wait for a while until it works normally.
Leakage Protection |
1. Cut off the electricity immediately.
2. Unplug the power plug from the socket on the wall.
3. Unplug the charging plug from the vehicle.
4. Contact the customer service for help.
Over-Temperature Protection |
The temperature of the control box is too high, you can unplug the charging cable until the control box cool down, or the control box will automatically switch the charging power to a lower level, which can protect the control box from overheat. If the temperature remains high when the charging power is at its lowest level, the charging process will be automatically terminated for safety, you can reconnect the power plug to restart charging your car once the control box cool down completely.
Storage
The IEC 62196 AC EVSE Portable Electric Vehicle Charger must be stored in a clean and dry location and located away from any high heat sources. Avoid oily or corrosive substances from contacting the control box, the cable and plugs/connectors during use. Avoid any fall or drop that causes impacts to the control box. Do not forcefully pull the charge cable or damage it with sharp objects. Do not store the EV charger in the place where rodents can enter.

FAQ
Q: Why can’t my charger be charged?
A: Please follow the red light flashes frequency to determine the specific error. Check the connection between the charging plug and vehicle as well as the power plug and the socket. Due to high temperatures, the circuit board is temporary shutdown to protect the charging safety and car battery. Please continue to charge after the temperature is reduced.
Q: Is it normal that my charger gets hot?
A: Due to the high current flows through the device, the charger will get hot at the interface, especially when charging outdoors at higher temperatures. If the temperature is too high, the charger switches to a lower current mode automatically to ensure the safety of the charging process. It’s suggested that using a lower current to charge at the normal situation in order to ensure safety.
Q: Why does the display of voltage and current fluctuates up and down?
A: Because the alternating current is unstable at home, voltage and power fluctuations are normal within 10 %. There is no effect on charging.
Q: Charging Indicator does not illuminate?
A: Check the circuit breaker and other circuit loads. Try another wall outlet.
